Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is finally here.
Simultaneously with the movie’s release on Nov. 11, a week after its 19-song soundtrack dropped on Nov. 4, Marvel to decided to deliver one more treat for fans of BP and Rihanna. When the clock struck midnight ET on Friday, Rihanna’s second single for the film titled “Born Again” was added to the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever – Music From and Inspired By project.
After not being included when the soundtrack first came out, fans had a feeling we would receive “Born Again” soon, considering it played during the end credits at the movie’s premiere two weeks ago. The inclusion of “Born Again” comes just two weeks after Rih’s official return to music with the soundtrack’s lead single “Lift Me Up.”
hroughout the rest of the project, listeners can find appearances from artists of all genres such as hip-hop, R&B, pop and more. Guests like Burna Boy, Future, Pink Pantheress, Stormzy, E-40 and Tobe Nwigwe all gave vocal performances for original songs, including Tems for the fourth song “No Woman No Cry” which first dropped in July.
With two new singles out, it would not come as a surprise if Rihanna began to prepare for the release of her upcoming studio album now, although it is yet to be given a title or release date
Regardless, the new BP soundtrack is just as thrilling as the first movie’s, which included hits from Kendrick Lamar, SZA, The Weeknd and more. If it was even possible to be more excited for the long-awaited BP sequel, Rihanna’s contributions to the Wakanda Forever soundtrack puts the icing on the cake.
