Playboi Carti fans, the wait might actually be over. After months of cryptic teases and speculation, Carti has officially declared that his highly anticipated album, I AM MUSIC, is finished.
The announcement came just after he posted a screenshot of a text from producer Wheezy, revealing plans to sample JAY-Z’s “Girls, Girls, Girls”. Naturally, fans lost their minds, assuming this meant the album was still in the works. But Carti quickly shut that down, posting a straightforward confirmation: “MY ALBUM DONE.” He also clarified the Wheezy text, writing, “ME N WHEEZY TALKING ABOUT SOME OL OTHER SHITTT,” without actually explaining what that “other” business was. Classic Carti.
Despite his elusive ways, Carti has been steadily building hype for I AM MUSIC. Billboards promoting the album popped up in mid-February, and he even previewed some new tracks during Rolling Loud Miami in December 2024.
So, does this mean a release date is finally near? With Carti, you never really know—but this is the strongest sign yet that I AM MUSIC is coming soon.
