In conclusive evidence that Beirut will never wither and that the steadfastness of the Lebanese knows no bounds, “Night of Hope” was celebrated on Sunday evening at the “Forum de Beirut”, featuring the artist Hiba Tawaji, along with Middle East’s top music composer Oussama Rahbani, international artist Ibrahim Maalouf, guest Lebanese star Elissa, and over 50 musicians.

“Night of Hope” is the largest concert to be held in Beirut in the wake of the devastating August 4 explosion which left large parts of the capital in ruins. It serves as proof that love for life will forever flow in the veins of the Lebanese.

A massive artistic production and the largest free concert in the Arab world, “Night of Hope” featured enchanting Arabic music and brought the “Forum de Beirut” back to life after it got destroyed by the blast.

Tribute was made to the families of the victims of the Beirut Port explosion through a short video reminiscent of the disaster. Patriotic and sentimental songs were then performed, carrying messages of hope and a call upon the Lebanese to be united.  Star Elissa made a surprise appearance which was immensely welcomed by the crowds. A special nod to the late Elias Rahbani was one of the evening’s highlights.

The concert was made possible by distinguished sponsors who believed in the message it would convey and the joy it would bring forth. Among the sponsors were the world’s leading music and entertainment company Universal Arabic Music, International Producer Wassim “SAL” Slaiby, and former Miss USA and Human rights advocate Rima Fakih Slaiby, in addition to the Abu Dhabi Group for Culture and Arts, and Medco.
